After the barrage of fashion press coverage of G-Dragon's attendance at the Chanel Cruise show following a gap of several years, now Chanel itself has uploaded a delightful "GD cut" of the event.
The video shows G-Dragon first at the show on the beachside and then dancing at the after-show party held at Karl Lagerfeld's erstwhile summer residence, the Villa La Vigie.
Fans were smitten by how happy and carefree the rapper looked in these cuts, calling Chanel G-Dragon's "PR firm" and "agency."
The love between the fashion powerhouse and the superstar musician was well in evidence in Monaco. GD not only wore his own brand Peaceminusone's accessories himself even as he attended the Chanel show as its sole Asian brand ambassador, but Virginie Viard, the creative director of Chanel, also wore a PMO daisy pin on her Chanel shirt.
This made fans speculate about a possible collaboration between the two brands. That may or may not come to be, but what it was proof of was the extraordinary relationship Chanel shares with GD, one that was started and fostered by Karl Lagerfeld himself in 2014.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon is now in Paris with his entourage and posted updates about his trip on his Instagram account. Speculations of a formal photoshoot have gained ground as he is accompanied by one of his favorite photographers, Kim Hee June.
G-Dragon's latest composition, "Still Life," continues to top major Korean charts. So well established is the song atop Melon, that its displacement by Psy x Suga's "That That" for a couple of hours caused major but, alas, premature celebrations amongst fans of the two artists.
GD making big moves. Love the style, can't wait to see what he has in store for the world!
