The song was also certified Golden Diamond on QQ Music and became the fastest-selling digital single in China this decade. "Still Life" is also the first-ever single to sell 1 million copies after the "No More Mass Buying Rule" in China. It achieved this milestone in 30 minutes.
Congratulations to BIGBANG for these great achievements!
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment had to do some damage control after member T.O.P's emotional letter to fans on Instagram, as well as the new song's serious tone, led many investors to believe that the legendary group was disbanding. This speculation caused the agency's stocks to plummet. On April 8, YG issued a lengthy statement in an attempt to alleviate these fears, assuring investors that this was not the end of the group but a new beginning.
Kings doing all of that without single promotion, they didn't even mention the song on their IG for 2 weeks now, and they still achieved all of that. Organic success as usual.
