There is court testimony that Yang Hyun Suk threatened a former trainee saying, "It's easy to kill you," so that the trainee can retract her statement against former iKON member B.I. and cover up the idol's drug case.

A former YG trainee testified as a witness at the trial of former YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk that was held on April 18 at the 23rd Criminal Settlement Division at the Seoul Central District Court. The former trainee is known to be the person who initially informed the world of B.I's drug purchases.

The former trainee claimed that she had met Yang Hyun Suk at the YG office in August 2016 and was threatened hearing words of intimidation and conciliation for two hours. When asked, "Is it true that defendant Yang Hyun Suk said to the witness, 'I am a person who can see all the testimony statements. You are in the entertainment industry, and it's easy for me to kill you'?" The former trainee replied, "Yes."

The former trainee elaborated, "I really thought that I would die if I didn't listen to his (former CEO Yang) words. I was so scared because he threatened me so much and he didn't seem like the person I knew."

Yang Hyun Suk admitted to meeting the former trainee but insisted that he did not coerce or threaten her to make false statements.

The former YG CEO was handed over to trial on charges of persuading and intimidating the former trainee to retract her testimony against B.I when she alleged that the idol had purchased drugs.
