SHINee's Minho expressed his longing for the late Jonghyun on what would have been his birthday.
On April 8, SHINee’s official social media account shared a post that read, “04.08 #JONGHYUN #SHINee,” along with a photo of Jonghyun. In the image, Jonghyun is seen singing on stage with a warm smile.
On the same day, Minho also posted on his personal social media account to remember Jonghyun.
Tagging Jonghyun’s account, he wrote, “Happy birthday. I always miss you,” expressing his affection. The accompanying photo showed the two of them standing side by side in their younger days, touching the hearts of fans.

SM Entertainment and SHINee members have continued to post tributes to Jonghyun every year on his birthday and the anniversary of his passing. Last year, the SHINee members made headlines when they revealed they had created a set of five friendship rings, including one for Jonghyun.
Fans also joined in to celebrate with hashtags like “Jonghyun’s 35th Spring,” leaving heartfelt messages such as “I hope it’s a birthday filled with love again this year.”
Jonghyun debuted with SHINee in 2008 and was beloved for hit songs like “Replay,” “Love Like Oxygen,” “Lucifer,” “Dream Girl,” and “View.” He also gained recognition as a solo artist with songs like “Déjà-Boo” and “Crazy (Guilty Pleasure)” after launching his solo career in 2015. However, on December 18, 2017, Jonghyun passed away at the age of 27.
Following his passing, his family established a nonprofit foundation named 'Shiny,' using his music royalties to support young artists and pursue various initiatives in his honor.
