Jimin has achieved so much as an idol both as a member of BTS and as an individual artist, becoming one of the most highly revered idols even though he is yet to make an official solo debut.
He has set himself apart as the standard in the K-pop industry with vocal and dance professionals and other established idols praising and admiring him constantly and rookie idols always naming him as their role model and wanting to be just like him and have his kind of impact. Among fans, he is known to have one of the largest fanbases both in South Korea and internationally. The general public adores him, as evidenced by the fact that he has managed to be the top idol in individual brand reputation for male idols for 35 consecutive months as of November 2021 and 38 months overall, something no other idol has ever achieved. He was also selected as Korea's 'most preferred idol' in the Gallup survey for two consecutive years (2018 & 2019); it was a first for any male idol to place #1 in the history of the survey, and more so rank #1 for two years straight. The fact that he does not have any individual works/activities to his name, and yet he has managed to stand out to this extent and make a name for himself, is admirable in every aspect. Be it in dance, vocals, personality, or visuals, Jimin has it all and is the perfect idol.
This is why he tends to always emerge at the top of any idol polls in any category, and the media always writes about him and his journey and influence.
On March 7, Jimin won yet another poll for the 'K-pop Idol of the Year' organized by Dabeme Music Awards, with a total of 279,026 votes.
In other news, Korea's IZE magazine published an article where Jimin was featured as the 'Idol of Idols.'
The article terms him as fierce and irreplaceable in BTS and mentions his opening of 'Blood Sweat & Tears,' which many agree it was the song that put BTS on the map. There is also a segment on how Jimin inspired idols like Arthur from the group KINGDOM to become singers, and the segment further lists many other younger idols who have all explicitly proclaimed their desire to be just like Jimin in their career. Another portion discusses his background in dancing from an early age and how he progressed through the different dance genres up until how his decision to become an idol came to be, and he auditioned to join BigHit as a trainee. He then debuted as BTS, where his vocals and dance in songs like 'Lie,' 'Serendipity,' 'Fake Love,' and 'Blood Sweat & Tears' made him stand out as an irreplaceable main dancer and vocalist in the group. Nevertheless, Jimin still strives to improve and become a better version of himself. Moreover, those who have met him cannot fail to mention his charming personality, and even fans agree that 'once you jim-in you can't jim-out.' He is also an icon of empathy and communication which draws people closer to him and love him more.
Jimin continues to shine with all that he has achieved, which has warranted his enviable status in the industry, and fans can only imagine how much higher he can soar especially when he starts to promote individually.
