2AM will return with a remake of the 1994 hit track "Even if you left me".
The track "Even if you left me" was originally released by Jo Jang Hyuk back in 1994, and the track instantly became a hit. After two decades, the hit track will be reinterpreted with the fresh and unique vocal tones of 2AM.
2AM's reinterpretation of "Even if you left me" is part of the 'Re:born project' which will likely captivate its listeners by relaying their own version of emotions.
2AM's rendition of "Even if you left me" drops on March 9 at 6 PM KST.
I think how their team decided to approach 2AM's newer work was an uninspired bad play. They should consider switching it up with better mid-tempos and even extract the best parts of ballads (i.e. the vocals/adlibs) to apply to mid and up-tempos with catchy vocal melodies like Apink's "My Oh My", "Nothing", and "Single Rider" but with 2AM vocal style. They actually had something promising when they dropped the intro version of "Never Let You Go" but they never fleshed it out.
Doing things like "modernizing" the beat and cutting or changing the synths could produce something interesting and magical for this group. There still aren't many K-Pop guy groups with vocals of a certain caliber. If JYPE could do this will 2AM, it would be nice reminder that they have 2 on their roster.
