Jonathan Yiombi is the second son of Patrick Thona Yiombi, a former politician and diplomat of the Democratic Republic of Congo. On February 13, 2008, Jonathan Yiombi fled to South Korea with his mother and brothers. Jonathan made an appearance in the KBS docuseries 'Screening Humanity' back in 2013 and began gaining attention from the public.

He explained he will be preparing to become naturalized in Korea and will be joining the mandatory military service once the naturalization is finalized. Jonathan explained he would definitely go to the mandatory military service as the country had protected him and accepted him.
