In November 2021, I came to know the global boy band BTS. Those bright smiles and sharp features, oh my god! Who won’t fall for those cute faces? But little did I know that it would bring me on the journey of diving into the world of Korean Music! I started in the world of K-pop and I ended up falling in love with Korean Indie artists! So talented and so underrated! Maybe outside South Korea only but come on? That is why I decided to write about it here.

Gogang (고갱)

The first Korean indie artist I came across was Gogang. His song ‘’ How much More Do I need’’ became my all-time favorite! He is launching his next album next month!! The sad and nostalgic music is like anything beyond this world! It is not that I did not listen to K-pop at all (I am all time BTS Fangirl). However, listening to Gogang made me realize how overshadowed these artists are! They like to keep it low; they are humble and have good music. Gogang will forever remain my favorite artist! you know, there are times when you just can not let go of things! Gogang is that kind of artist for me!

The next Indie band I came to know was 92914 and believe me, their music is incomparable if you are looking for soft and soothing music! They provide naturopathy with their songs. Listen to their song Okinawa.

JANNABI

This band is so good, I’m telling you. Claims to be an Indie Rock band, JANNABI’s music is like hearts on flowers. This indie Boyband deserves all the love in the world. Even though I do not understand their lyrics, I can tell that they are meaningful.

DPR Live

Oh God, Live is my all-time favorite since I started listening to his songs. His collaboration with Hwasa was LIT. Recently his song ‘’Diamonds+ And pearls’’ was featured in Marvel’s Shang-Chi! Surprising right? Not for me! He is so talented.

So, give a try to these indie artists and you won’t regret it, I promise!
