On the 20th of August, BTS, through their official TikTok channel, released a series of videos that featured the members dancing to their hit song Permission to Dance.

The first of the videos was one by Jimin. The main dancer showed his smooth and relaxed moves in a stadium, quickly attracting the attention of viewers. The video set the record for most viewed and liked TikTok by a Korean individual during its first 24 hours with 26.8 Million views and 5.9 Million likes. The video now has 9.5 Million likes and 55.3 Million views on the platform.

On the platform, his #jimin is now at 78.5 Billion views. His Boy With Luv Tiktok video is the first and only for a Korean individual to amass 119 Million views and 12.1 Million likes. Together with the Permission to Dance, Boy with Luv, and Life goes on individual videos. He remains the only idol with 3 videos surpassing 50 Million views and 9 Million likes. His song Filter is the 8th most used BTS song and BTS solo on the platform as it has been used In 355.9 thousand videos, showcasing his impact as an artist.

Following the success of his PTD video, it was nominated by the Mnet Asia Music Awards to represent BTS in the new category TikTok Favorite moment of 2021. After a fortnight of rigorous voting between the 25th to 8th of November, Jimin's video emerged as the winner with a total of 2.15 million votes. The result was officially announced at the MAMA 2021 award ceremony, and fans, along with verified accounts, were quick to congratulate BTS and Jimin for this milestone.

Fans took to Twitter and other social media platforms to celebrate by trending several keywords and hashtags Worldwide and in more than 18 countries.  Jimin answered the prayers of ARMY when he visited them later that night on Weverse to thank them for all the awards won, along with the message was a selca that showcased his true beauty. 

BTS Jimin is known as the King of Twitter and has always been on the most mentioned list worldwide since 2016, and this year wasn't any different. An article by ninja marketing Italy revealed that his hashtag #jimin was the most used for an Asian Celebrity in the country on Twitter at #43. Jimin was also revealed to be the most mentioned individual K-POP artist in Chile on Twitter this year at #4, as well as being the 3rd most mentioned in Argentina.

Park Jimin extended his record on Instagram on the 10th of December after real-time data from K-Pop radar showed that he was the 2nd most followed K-Pop Instagram account for that day. He is now the third. Previously on the 9th, Jimin had debuted at #23 according to HypeAuditor as the most influential Korean male Individual, and now he is at #19 as the second most influential Korean individual and BTS member on the platform.

Despite being inactive on social media, Jimin's presence is always felt, even as he continues to write more records that highlight his impact as an individual and artist. Congratulations Jimin!
