On October 13 at 2:19 AM KST, Lee Suhyun of South Korean sibling duo, AKMU, streamed live on the Naver platform "V LIVE" with a video titled "Hi!" With her last live stream dated back on May 13, 2021, never did she imagine what was about to unfold.
The Live Chat was heavily spammed with comments posted by fans of BTS. The day of the live stream also happened to be the birthday of one of its members, Park Jimin. As a result, comments such as: "I am waiting for Jimin live" and "hbd jimin aaa" among many were commented throughout the entire 2-hour and 7-minute stream. Many also criticized her appearance, stating: "you are ugly" and more. Within her live stream, she also mentioned her parents were watching the stream on TV as well as her friends. Suhyun, who was well aware of the comments being left, addressed the situation as kindly as possible: "Please don't fight. You can use 반말 (casual form of phrases) or 존대말 (more formal) as long as you don't cross the line. But I haven't seen anyone who've crossed the line yet ... It's okay to mention other artists, I can just look past it."

In terms of comments on her appearance, in 2018, she once mentioned:
"Regarding my values of appearance, I have pretty different standards. I have a lot of bad memories regarding my appearance, so I think I can help everyone understand.
It's difficult to meet beauty standards set by others [...] I guess I just don't meet those peoples' standards. I also have no intention of meeting them. I have my own standards for beauty and, if I can meet those, then I am beautiful enough. No matter what anyone says, if I am pretty by my standards, I am pretty enough." — Lee Suhyun.
Meanwhile, AKMU released their first collaboration album, Next Episode, and its lead single "Nakka" with IU, which domestically propelled to #1 in South Korea upon release. Notably, their 2019 release "How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You're the One I Love" still remains within the top 40 on Gaon Digital Chart.
They can only flame her appearance bc they can say nothing abt her talent. Let the dogs keep barking
