Five rising male actors in their 20s-30s are expected to come back to the screen after discharge from military service. They are 2PM's Lee Junho, EXO's DO Kyungsoo, HIGHLIGHT's Yoon Doo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, and Lee Jong Suk.

Lee Junho has been active with 2PM's full group activities, and various variety shows since he was discharged from military service in March 2021. He will lead MBC's new historical fantasy drama series 'The Red Sleeve Cuff.' The drama will premiere on November 5.

Junho plays a perfectionist crown prince, Lee San, also known as Yi San, later becoming King Jeongjo of Joseon. Junho is ready to captive the viewer's heart by his charismatic monarch and acting skill. He is well-known as a talented actor who appeared in several dramas such as KBS2's Chief Kim and tvN's Confession.

The next rising male actor is EXO's Kyung Soo (D.O). Kyung Soo plays the male lead role in a Korean remake of the 2008 Taiwanese film titled 'Secret.' He will reportedly lead the upcoming drama 'True Sword Match,' which deals with corruption in the prosecution organization.

Lee Jong Suk will return to the small screen tvN's new drama 'Big Mouse.' It's his first drama since he was discharged from military service. 'Big Mouth' depicts the story of a lawyer, Park Chang Ho, with a trial success rate of 10%.

He works along with Im YoonA, who plays the role of Ko Mi Ho, a beautiful nurse and also Park Chang Ho's wife. 'Big Mouth' is scheduled to premiere in 2022.

While Park Hyung Sik will start his first work with tvN's new drama 'Happiness' since he was discharged from military service in January 2021. The drama is expected to premiere in November 2021.

'Happiness' is a thriller series about characters' struggle and survival inside isolated apartments after an infectious disease break puts. Each character is expected to give a thrilling tension as a psychological battle.

Last but not least, Yoon Doo Joon will come back as an actor after completing his activities in HIGHLIGHT's full group activities. Doo Joon has confirmed his appearance in the new drama 'There is No Goo Pil-Soo.'

He plays the role of genius and prospective founder of a start-up company. He is the son of Goo Pil Soo, played by Kwak Do Won. Doo Joon has shown stable acting skills in tvN's Let's Eat series, MBC's Plop Plop LOVE, and KBS2's Radio Romance.

A drama official said, "There was a time when a shortage of male lead actors in their 20s and 30s, but a new wind is expected to blow in the broadcasting industry with the rising stars who come back from military service. Competition is expected to intensify."
