Former KARA member turned actress Han Seungyeon talked about the time when she was promoting with the girl group.
Han Seungyeon, who is to appear in the film 'Show Me The Ghost,' talked about her promotions with KARA during an interview on September 2. On this day, Han Seungyeon explained that while she was promoting, she would just get shots when she was sick and get IV fluid when she was feeling tired and forced herself to continue with her promotions.
The actress explained she had become much healthier now than she was while being a girl group member. She explained, "Compared to anything else, I feel I can freely eat food now than I did when I was a singer. Before, I was so on edge for performances so I wasn't able to eat all the time."
She then explained, "When I was promoting as a singer, I would only eat half a Snickers." Han Seungyeon added, "I was severely underweight but people said I was pretty so I was hit with a reality check. My body was slim and nice but I started to form allergies and my skin was bad. I also had to always wear heels so I had fracture issues."
Just as the actress mentioned, Han Seungyeon was very thin in the photos she was promoting as a singer. Now netizens and fans are relieved that she is much healthier and is able to eat better. They commented, "It's good she is better now," "Being healthy is the most important," and "She did get really skinny while promoting with KARA."
Thank God, someone who talks with sense. This is a note to fans to stop praising underweight, “barbie” looking idols. You don’t have to say anything negative but stope idolizing skinniness
