BTS Jungkook not only causes products to sell out, but what's more phenomenal is his insane impact on the growth of businesses. Previously in 2019, Jungkook had caused South Korea's P&G supplier, KCI's share price to increase by 11% after he made 2 months-worth of Downy stock sold out nationwide in just a day. He made headlines many times for growing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) into huge profitable companies like what happened to modernized hanbok company Zijangsa and tea company TEAZEN. These companies not only grew bigger in South Korea, but the surge of demand from overseas made them increased in exports too. All these speak volumes of Jungkook’s top-tier brand power.
Recently, an ARMY’s post about Jungkook’s Kombucha craze went viral on Twitter, gaining over 60,000 likes and 17,000 Retweets. The fan saw a giant new TEAZEN stand in one of the supermarkets in Hong Kong. After asking a staff working there about the sudden opening of a new stand for TEAZEN’s Kombucha products, the fan was informed it was because of a sudden surge of demand due to a K-pop star.
The fan was then handed a booklet showing Jungkook’s picture during one of his Vlive streamings. The booklet mentioned, “March 7th on Vlive, Jungkook was pouting and asked why ARMY moved so fast and sold out his favourite Kombucha.”
The sign on the stand said, “The product has been sold out for very long! Korea’s super famous godly group loves it!”
Jungkook’s impact on the growth of TEAZEN Co. is truly phenomenal. Earlier, Korea Economic Daily Global Edition reported that the majority shareholder of TEAZEN Co. was seeking to sell ownership of the company, attracting multiple potential buyers. This was thanks to Jungkook, after revealing himself as a regular drinker of TEAZEN’s Kombucha product during his live streaming in February, had caused a major worldwide Kombucha craze.
