BTS V’s Chinese fan club sets a new record by raising ¥3.08M in a minute for his birthday fund.
One of the grandest festivities that take place among K-pop fandoms is the birthday celebrations of their favorite idols. From grand-scale projects to donations, every fan club sets out to throw the biggest bash for their beloved. However, one fanbase that has always stood at the front with their one of a kind and record-setting projects is none other than BTS member V’s Chinese fanbase, @KimTaehyungBar_
In 2020, V Bar set an astonishing record of amassing ¥7 million in 80 days, the shortest period recorded among all K-pop fandoms. Korean Media Outlet, Star News reported on the record and said, “V's birthday fund, which began in June, received a heated response of 1 million yuan (KRW 170 million) in just three minutes and 1.77 million yuan (KRW 300 million) in just 10 minutes.”
This year, the fanbase has outdone themselves, setting yet another remarkable first-ever record by collecting ¥3.08 million (532 million KRW) in under a minute. As per their tweet, they have raised a stunning ¥5.42 million (944 million KRW) in an hour.
V Bar’s unconditional love and support for V beautifully shine through in all of their projects for the star. Some of which are so extravagant that fans are left in awe of its grand scale while others leave hearts filled with words of gratitude.
Last year, the fanbase built a school, a road, and a bridge in V’s name and also organized an advertisement on Burj Khalifa marking V as the first idol to receive such an honor. All of their projects made headlines and gained massive appreciation from fans, media, and even non-fans who were amazed at the efforts the team put into gifting V the best of the best.
In addition to their various first-of-its-kind birthday projects, V Bar is also the biggest contributor to BTS’s album sales in China. As per several media outlets, the fan club ranked first and second in the list of the “Top 30 K-pop group/subunit Chinese personal fan club album purchases.” V Bar reportedly swept the chart with 230,000 copies of "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" in 2020 and 170,000 copies of "MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA" in 2019.
Similar to V, his Chinese fan club is also known to never disappoint as they have time and again surprised the fans with their unimaginable and extraordinary projects. The masses are excitedly looking forward to what they have in store for V’s birthday this year.
It's lovely to see Taehyung getting support from Asian countries like Japan, India, China, Phillipines, Indonesia, Pakistan etc., I remember K-Media gave him the title of Prince of Continent, they truly know how loved and cherished he is in Asia. And tbh he deserves such gigantic support from his fans.
