Jungkook's two recent Vlives not only broke many records but caused major cross-industry waves.
1. K-pop
Jungkook's first Vlive in 2021 gathered 13.5 million real-time viewers in just 45 minutes of his live streaming, became the most viewed Vlive in real-time before it was dethroned by Jungkook's latest Vlive on March 7th. His latest Vlive gathered 22 million real-time views in just 1 hour 18 minutes of his live streaming, broke his own previous record, and now remains the most viewed V-live in real-time in history.
2. International music scene
Jungkook's latest Vlive garnered 22 million real-time views, which exceeded 2020 GRAMMYs viewership which was 18.7 million. The news was reported by several media including Breaktudo and Republic World.
'10000 hours' original singer Dan + Shay took it to social media to appreciate Jungkook's live rendition of the song during his Vlive. The pop duo also expressed their wish for a future collaboration. Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun reposted Dan + Shay's Instagram story of Jungkook singing '10000 hours' with the caption, "Thank you Jungkook."
Warner Music Japan International posted about the impact Jungkook had caused after he sang 'At My Worst' by Pink Sweat$ on his Vlive. The song experienced a huge spike on Spotify charts in different countries around the world.
Korean tea brand TEAZEN reveals that their Kombucha product had risen 500% in sales in the first week of March compared to the previous week, after Jungkook drank and introduced the drink on his previous Vlive. TEAZEN posted on their Instagram about Jungkook's insane impact on their sales. They wrote “Just one word from him and a month’s worth of supplies sold out in 3 days. Thank you.”
Not only that, TEAZEN's Kombucha product recorded its highest export ever, with an increase of over 800% compared to the previous month. Japan saw the largest increase, followed by China and the United States. Many major Korean newspapers including The Donga Ilbo, Korea Economic Daily, Daily JoongAng, and more reported about the Kombucha craze and how Jungkook's massive influence helped small businesses grow.
Clothing brand LAMODECHIEF thanked Jungkook on Instagram for wearing their ECO leather oversized shirt on his Vlive. They also made a donation to a children’s shelter under ARMY’s name to show appreciation for their business growth after Jungkook constantly wearing their clothing.
Apart from that, the GUCCI tote bag seen on Jungkook's Vlive became a hot item too. A Korean fan went to check out the bag but there were so many people she had to wait for 50 minutes!
