Lee Hwi Jae's family has been in the center of controversy as their downstairs neighbor left a message of complaint on SNS, accusing the twins' parents of ignoring their noise complaints for a year.

On January 15th, Lee Hwi Jae's wife, Moon Jung Won, apologized for the allegations that she left a store in Everland without paying for the toys back in 2017.

Recently, a post was made on an online community with the title, "Lee Hwi Jae's wife Moon Jung Won involved in an Everland toy controversy."  In the post, a netizen explained that he was working at a store in Everland in 2017. During that time, Moon Jung Won had bought two toys totaling 32,000 KRW ($29.00) from the shop.  She told the store worker that she would soon return with the money but never came back to pay. The store worker kept waiting, but ultimately she did not return.

Moon Jung Won's agency, IOK Company, released a statement saying, 'Mrs. Moon Jung Won does not remember what happed at Everland in 2017 at all. However, not remembering is not an excuse to avoid the situation. We will try our best to compensate for the damages and apologize."

The company also stated, "We are currently trying to contact the victim but are waiting for a reply after sending a direct message to them, so they do not feel overwhelmed. The original post has been deleted, and we only have their online ID information. Above all, we will make every effort to reach the person as soon as possible because we believe it is important to apologize to them."

They concluded by saying, "We apologize that we have given discomfort and caused concerns over the recent series of controversies. Moon Jung Won feels responsible for all the issues, and rather than just apologizing with words, she will stop all activities, including her social media and YouTube activities."
