BTS Jimin extends his “Brand King” record unbeaten as he top boy group member brand reputation ranking again for 23 consecutive months

BTS Jimin, dubbed as BTS’s Brand King, emerged as unbeaten, continued his reign and topped the Boy Group Member Individual Brand Reputation Ranking once again in November. Jimin remains to be the first and only idol to have the longest reign as the top boy group member for 23 consecutive months and 25 months in total.
On November 14, Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute released the official ranking of Top 100 boy group members and their brand reputation ranking which resulted after the analysis of 137,809,607 brand big data extracted from 653 boy group members from October 13 to November 13, 2020.
For the 23rd month in a row, BTS Jimin is named first place. Jimin topped it with a positive ratio of 80.02%. It was reported that BTS Jimin brand ranked high in link analysis with “breakthrough, award, release” and “filter, innovator and ARMY” on keyword analysis.
Immediately after the ranking release, Jimin trended due to numerous congratulatory and messages of love and support from fans especially in South Korea. Jimin trended several hashtags in South Korea.
#우리지민또1위했네 (Our Jimin Won First Place Again) trended and peaked at #2 in South Korea.
Other hashtags which trended are #개인브평23개월연속1위 (#1 individual ranking for 23 months in a row peaked at #4, #JIMIN23개월연속브평1위 (Jimin #1 in brand reputation ranking for 23 months in a row) peaked at #6, #지민브평11월1위축하해 (Congratulations Jimin for #1 in the November brand reputation) peaked at #7, and #지민브평1위축하해 (Congratulations Jimin for #1 in brand reputation) peaked at #8.
South Korean and foreign media likewise immediately paid attention to the news. The South Korean media alone had published at least 20 articles about the recently released brand reputation ranking.
Last October 2020, Jimin received a Certificate of Brand Reputation, Brand Reputation Index Award which states “The above brand certifies that it was selected as an award in recognition of the brand’s influence and value in the star category reputation in October 2020 conducted by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute.” The said certificate is the 6th one Jimin received and he is the only BTS member to have received such recognition.
The brand reputation index is created through brand big data analysis by finding consumers’ online habits which have great influence on brand consumption. This analysis measures the positive and negative ratio considering media interest and consumer interest and traffic.
Jimin was analyzed with participation index of 876,082, a media index of 1,544,187, a communication index of 1,435,087 and community index of 1,336,660 or total brand reputation index of 5,192,015.
Jimin, recently crowned again as King of Kpop, has been consistently achieving so much from his songs both group and solo songs, social networking sites records, awards and recognitions, mentions as media darling, and so much love and support from his fans.
