World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General thanked BTS' Jungkook's fanbase for donations towards COVID-19 relief

BTS' Jungkook waspraised by Director-General (DG) of World Health Organization (WHO) for his good influence and using his platform to spread awareness during this COVID-19 pandemic. Jungkook advised fans in a Vlive to "take care and wear a mask" in which the DG, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus posted a screenshot of the Vlive on his Twitter with the caption, "Thank you, #BTS for the uplifting #BTS_Dynamite and for reminding the #BTSARMY and the rest of us to #WearAMask and take care of our health and well-being during this #COVID19 pandemic". The tweet received countless engagement from fans worldwide, ensuring the DG that they will be following Jungkook's advises and praising him for being a good role-model.
In response to Jungkook's influence and advise, Golden Jungkook Union, a global union of Jungkook fanbases, made a monetary donation to the WHO under Jungkook’s name. The fanbase
expressed their hope that this contribution could help people who were struggling to receive proper care in this troubling times of COVID-19.
Dr. Tedros then quoted Golden Jungkook Union's post with a caption "Thank You" in Korean, and made another post to properly thank the fanbase, and expressed his appreciation of the continuous support from Jungkook, the rest of BTS & ARMY in this pandemic.
Head of Social Media and Media Monitoring at WHO, Sari Setiogi Griberg also thanked Jungkook's fanbase for the donation, adding that Jungkook and BTS have indeed been a great role model and source of positive energy for many people during this difficult time.
This isn't the first time Jungkook's fanbases are making donations in helping people in need, as they are always quick to response to public emergencies and raise funds to help the people affected. Earlier this year, Baidu JEON JUNGKOOK BAR, or mostly known as JungkookCHINA organised a one day emergency fundraiser and collected 52,000 rmb (~$7,500) for emergency relief in Wuhan, the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition to monetary donations, they have outsourced a local, certified vendor to deliver professional medical supplies to hospitals in need, which would be distributed through local authorities.
Jungkook's fanbases also raise public awareness regarding social issues and made multiple donations towards it. In May this year, Golden Jungkook Union made a donation to Act Blue charities for Black Lives Matter, which was widely reported by major daily Korean newspapers such as the 'Kyunghyang Shinmun'.
Being a well-loved and famous worldwide star, Jungkook hugely influences and inspires many people around the world, from all walks of life and various age group. It is a good thing that Jungkook realises his power and influence and use it for good cause, and the fact that his fans worldwide response and act accordingly and wisely is indeed a gift to humankind.
