Amidst the alleged vote rigging controversy for ‘Produce X 101’, one thing is quite certain. And that is, X1′s popularity will no doubt be tremendous.
The idol group consisting of the winning finalists of ‘Produce X 101′ are scheduled to debut on August 27th. Yes, they haven’t debuted but they already have sasaeng fans who are invading their privacy at the moment.
Sasaeng problems are already pestering the group and their management Swing Entertainment so much that the agency has recently released an official statement.
“Firstly, thank you to all the fans for all the interest and support you have shown for X1.
Because there are fans who have been coming around to see the members in an unofficial setting, there have been situations that were potentially a threat to the artists and we would like to take this time to address the issue.
Visiting artists outside of official schedules or chasing their cars are all acts that invade one’s privacy. Furthermore, these incidents can negatively affect civilians and bystanders, which could in result harm the image of the artists.
We would like fans to refrain from the following below as not to bring any threatening situations to the artists or invade their privacy.
1 Chasing the cars they are in.
2 Showing up to the agency’s office or artists’ dorms.
3 Touching the artists or attempting to take some of their belongings.
4 Preventing the artists from getting into their cars.
5 Blockading the roads of the agency office or artists’ dorms.
6 Blocking cars on the road while trying to record the artists through phones.
Should any fans be caught engaging in the actions mentioned above, they will be unable to be active on fan cafes, unable to apply for fan events, and will not be able to attend broadcasts.
We encourage fans to take consideration in to X1’s safety and privacy with the same heart that they love and support them.
Thank you.”
