JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) is looking for teenage musicians that can write title songs for the company's artists.
JYP Publishing - a music publishing company specializing in managing musicians' copyright is founded by JYP's CCO (Chief Creative Officer) Park Jin Young - will collaborate with Naver Grafolio to organize a competition for teenage musicians.
This is the audition for U20 musicians taking place after the event "HAPPY SUMMER WITH TEENAGER" held in 2018 summer. JYP Publishing not only collaborates with Naver's online creative content platform Grafolio but also tries to discover music talents through the periodic audition for musicians.
Besides the top producer of Asia, Park Jin Young, JYP Publishing owns various talents such as Hong Ji Sang - who created No.1 tracks namely "Why So Lonely" (Wonder Girls) and "Time Of Our Life" (DAY6), Shim Eun Ji - who took charge of "Shouldn't Have" (Baek A Yeon) and "Yes Or Yes" (Twice), Lee Woo Min (collapsedone) - who composed "Knock Knock" and "What Is Love?" (Twice), and ARMADILLO - who wrote "Pretend" and "In Love With Someone Else" (Suzy). To discover talented musicians to maintain this achievement, the company conducts the periodic recruitment twice per year as well as recruits musicians via the official homepage of JYP Publishing.
The audition show ''JYP Publishing X Naver Grafolio Teenager'' has always received the support of teenagers - who were born from 2001 to 2010. Candidates will present 2 songs regardless of genres, 1 for male and 1 for female, and these songs will be likely to become the title tracks for JYP's artists like GOT7, DAY6, Twice, Stray Kids, Itzy.
In particular, the Top 3 among candidates will receive grant money to support their composition, an invitation to JYP's new headquarters and listen to 1:1 advice from producer Park Jin Young.
Candidates can register to participate in on the site Naver Grafolio Collaboration from July 25 to August 20.
