According to reports on May 10, a 2nd appeal trial between SECRET member Hyosung and her former agency TS Entertainment will take place at Seoul's High Court this afternoon.
It's been revealed that back on May 7, TS Entertainment filed a lawsuit demanding that Hyosung pay a fee of approximately 1,000,000,000 KRW (~ 847,000 USD) for the violation of her exclusive contract.
The legal dispute between Hyosung and TS Ent. began back in September of 2017, as Hyosung requested a reevaluation of her exclusive contract with the agency based on suspicions of abuse of agency authority, unpaid wages, etc. Then, in September of 2018, the court ruled in favor of Hyosung by concluding that some of Hyosung's reasons for requesting the nullification of her exclusive contract was valid. As a result, Hyosung was able to seek out a new agency. The court also ordered TS Entertainment to pay unpaid wages of approximately 130,000,000 KRW (~ 110,000 USD), in addition to covering the majority of Hyosung's legal expenses during the first lawsuit.
However, immediately submitting an appeal against the court's first ruling, TS Entertainment has decided to accept Hyosung's conditions to nullify her exclusive contract; however, they will be demanding damages for her violation of contract clauses during her promotions, while her contract was still valid.

Nearly 1m for contact violations? Damages my butt. How ridiculous. SECRET hasn't had any real work in years, obviously they have to do whatever to get money regardless. TS is hanging on by a mere thread and their idols are dropping off one by one, TS is just doing whatever to survive. For what? Who knows. TS has been in trouble before for not paying their members. Any contracts under them should be nullified by the courts and the whole company should be dismantled.
