According to SM Entertainment on May 15, the entertainment label has been invited to attend the upcoming event known as ‘K-Factor: An Orchestral Exploration of K-Pop’ this June 20 at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.
During this unique event, a 50-member orchestra will be performing a medley of K-Pop songs beginning in the 1930's through the present, re-born as orchestral pieces. SM Entertainment was invited to this event due to the agency's key role in introducing K-Pop worldwide. The label will be participating in the upcoming performance's setlist, production, etc, with songs by TVXQ, Girls' Generation, EXO, Red Velvet, and more being a part of the medley.
Also on June 19, a special lecture titled 'The True Value of K-Pop' will take place at the David Rubenstein Atrium inside the Lincoln Center. Check out a promo clip for ‘K-Factor: An Orchestral Exploration of K-Pop’ below.
