Big Hit Entertainment has taken legal action against bootleggers.
According to Billboard, the agency has filed a complaint to the California district court on April 25 for the exclusive right and trademark of BTS. Big Hit is requesting court authorizations to destroy unauthorized or fake merchandise that is being sold outside of BTS' concerts.
The unauthorized merchandise includes tour and program books, t-shirt's, jersey's, sweatshirts, hats, posters, buttons, and more.
Big Hit Entertainment claims the unauthorized merchandise is "likely to injure the reputation" of the company and their artist due to its "inferior quality." The agency is also claiming loss of income from illegal sales.
Meanwhile, BTS is kicking off their world tour 'Love Yourself: Speak Yourself' at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
Then perhaps Big Hit should provide a higher number of said merchandise at their tour stops. I went to the Love Yourself Tour in Oakland last year and by the time I got there T Shirts were sold out, Sweat Shirts....a whole bunch of stuff. It was really disappointing.
