On April 10, MBC's 'Newsdesk' reported on Roy Kim's police investigation.
Around 2:40 pm KST on April 10, the singer attended the police questioning as a suspect in the case of Jung Joon Young's controversial group chat.
Originally, Roy Kim was summoned as a witness, however, he was later turned into a suspect after the police found signs of him participating in the sharing of illegally filmed footage.
The members of Jung Joon Young's controversial group chat are also facing drug accusations after the police found frequent use of drug slangs in their conversation. However, a drug test was not completed on Roy Kim.
The police explained, "Roy Kim was summoned for the violation of the Information and Communication Network Act. Therefore, we cannot force a drug test. We're in mediation with Roy Kim's side."
Makes sense. If they did the test with almost no evidence, they would have to throw out the test results even if it was positive and couldn't use it in court.
