YG Entertainment responds to tax investigation by National Tax Service

YG Entertainment has responded to a tax investigation by the National Tax Service (NTS).

Though the label previously denied any special investigation, YGE stated on March 20, "We will cooperate with the tax investigation from the National Tax Service." Rumors of a tax audit started this past month when YGE head Yang Hyun Suk and his brother's club Love Signal was alleged to have dodged taxes. YG Entertainment did undergo a scheduled 5-year tax investigation in 2016, and this investigation by the NTS is coming earlier than usual.

The NTS has declined to comment on the investigation, but the organization is reported to have retrieved documents from the label today.

Stay tuned for updates.
