BTS' 'Burn the Stage: The Movie' beats One Direction for highest grossing event cinema record

'Burn the Stage: The Movie' has made a new record in event cinema.

According to the film distributorTrafalgar Releasing, the event cinema capturing the moments from BTS' 'The Wings Tour' has reached 1.4 million worldwide admissions, tallying up to $14 million in ticket sales.This makes 'Burn the Stage: The Movie' the highest-grossing event cinema.

Previously, the record was held byOne Direction, who hit 1.2 millionin admissions with 'Where We Are' in 2014.

'Burn the Stage: The Movie' has been released in 2,650 theaters at 79 locations around the globe.

Meanwhile, BTS is currently continuing their 'Love Yourself' world tour.
