tvN's drama remake of hit 2012 historical film 'Masquerade' has confirmed the casting of its male and female lead roles.
Actor Yeo Jin Goo, who was previously looking over the male lead role of 'Masquerade', has decided to take on the double-roles of the king Lee Heon and the clown, Ha Sun. Opposite Yeo Jin Goo is the queen Yoo So Woon, played by Lee Se Young. The story revolves around a king who suffers from the fear of being murdered by his enemies daily, so obsessed with protecting himself that he grows distant from his wife and everyone around him. One day, he discovers a clown who looks just like him, and places the clown on the throne to act as the "real" king. Without knowing that the king has been switched out with a clown, the queen falls back in love with whom she believes is the "real" king.
Yeo Jin Goo x Lee Se Young's historical drama 'Masquerade' is set to air at the beginning of 2019.
