Soyu scolded the Japanese trainees for giving up on 'Produce 48'.
On the July 6 episode, the trainees got into groups and started practicing for the group battle. However, the Japanese trainees in the "Boombayah" group 2 gave up on practicing.
Han Cho Won, who was the leader and center of "Boombayah" group 2, tried to get the trainees together but continued to face difficulties as Japanese trainees Chiba Erii, and Sato Minami didn't do anything at all.
Ultimately, Chiba Erii and Sato Minami couldn't sing even a single line during the vocal training with Soyu. Soyu snapped at their lack of dedication and effort. She said, "You're just not going to do it if you don't want to? Do you hate it that much?"
The Japanese trainees didn't respond. Soyu then said, "Just leave if you don't want to receive training."
Following the vocal training, the group members took the time to have a sincere talk. Then the Japanese trainees finally started participating. Han Cho Won commented, "A lot of things happened but everyone worked hard. No one knows what the results will be at the end."
