One song from Black Pink's 1st mini album 'Square Up' has been deemed unfit for KBS broadcast, as well as United Cube's special rap unit song "Mermaid".
On June 20, KBS revealed that Black Pink's "See U Later" was determined unfit for broadcast due to its usage of cursing, slang terms, and derogatory expressions. The rest of the songs from 'Square Up', including title song "DDU-DU DDU-DU", will be allowed on broadcasts on KBS programs.
United Cube's special rap unit track "Mermaid" featuring BTOB's Minhyuk, Peniel, and Ilhoon; CLC's Yeeun; Pentagon's Wooseok; and (G)I-DLE's Jeon So Yeon was deemed unfit for broadcast due to its reference of sexual relations between a male and a female, as well as mentions of lewd terms in the lyrics.
