
Renowned yoga instructor Lee Yoo Joo passed away on the 18th at the age of 35.
On the 19th, the yoga studio Yogaum, which she operated, shared the news through its official social media, stating, "We have to share some sudden and heartbreaking news. Teacher Lee Yoo Joo passed away yesterday (February 18th)."
They continued, "According to the wishes of the bereaved family, there will be no separate wake or funeral. Instead, we will set up a space at Yogaum where visitors can pay their final respects until this Friday."
The statement also added, "Please pray for the soul of teacher Lee Yoo Joo, who was beautiful, pure, and brightened the world with her special talents, so she may rest in peace."
A day before her passing, Lee Yoo Joo posted a selfie on her personal social media with a brief message, "BYE," leaving fans heartbroken. Many netizens have been expressing their condolences in comments such as, "I hope you rest in peace in a place free of pain," "I followed you because I admired your yoga, and this is so sad," and "I pray for the soul of the deceased to rest in peace."
Lee Yoo Joo was a star yoga instructor known for her expertise and for leading various yoga programs. She gained public recognition after appearing on the MBC variety show 'Infinite Challenge', where she taught yoga to the cast members.
