"We have decided to fire three employees who have been confirmed for sexual violence as well as for power abuse toward outsourced product companies.
Our company has decided on heavy punishment with a zero-tolerance policy for sexual violence.
MBC feels a heavy responsibility for not being able to prevent something like this from happening in the first place, and feels disappointed in ourselves. We also acknowledge that our employees are still complacent about sexual violence that happens in the workplace, and also feel disappointed about that as well.
We are currently working to implement company regulations that will prevent sexual violence. We will be improving the culture of reporting to management, as well as immediate isolation of the problematic employee. We will also be strengthening education on preventing sexual violence for all employees.
MBC will continue to have a zero-tolerance policy for sexual violence and will do our best with strict regulations."
