The singer revealed he received a luxurious gift from a Chinese fan for his birthday.

When asked if anyone gifted him with a car, Hwang Chi Yeol mentioned, "There was one person who said he/she would send over a car if I choose one from the list. I only heard that from my Chinese manager."

He then explained, "After the fan meeting was over, I was organizing the gifts when my manager came over to me looking rather pale.  And said, 'there's a big problem, we should return this.'"

When Hwang Chi Yeol asked what kind of gift it was, the manager held up a set of 'Mercedes Benz' car keys.

The manager who was overwhelmed by the luxurious present said, "Let's not even touch this and return this right away."

Surprised himself, Hwang Chi Yeol took a closer look at the set of keys and realized it was actually a USB device in the shape of a car key fob and it wasn't for an actual car.

Previously, fans from China expressed their love towards Hwang Chi Yeol by purchasing 900 million KRW ($828,000) worth of albums for his birthday, gaining much attention.
