Leader Suho mentioned, "It is a great honor to be able to perform at the closing ceremony. We found out about the news a while back, and have been preparing hard ever since. Please look forward to our stage."
In regards to Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva being an EXO-L, Suho responded, "We gifted her with a signed CD through our manager and she talked a lot about us during interviews. We hope that she will compete safely and in good health," cheering for the Olympic athlete.

Baekhyun described how he felt after finding out EXO was going to perform. "We always work hard for any year-end performance or awards ceremony. But I felt like we had to prepare extra hard for the closing ceremony. It is an honorable position no doubt, but we do feel pressure on the other hand. I am so excited to just think about our stage this coming Sunday."
Lastly, Suho added, "None of EXO members even existed during the Summer Olympics held in Seoul back in '88. I can't believe that we actually get to perform at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. It's brand new to us and I think we might end up crying in the end."
Meanwhile, EXO and CL are scheduled to perform at the closing ceremony on February 25.
