1. Flash mob to Your Favorite K-pop Song!
When you're in Korea it's easy to attend a K-pop concert, but wouldn't it be even better if you became the K-pop star yourself? Well, yearn no longer! Every year, hundreds of international students at KU ISC perform flash mob dances in central Seoul. The KU ISC has earned these students' the title of the largest flash mob in Korea, so you do not want to miss out on this one-of-a-kind experience. 2. Go shopping in Myeongdong!
Fashionable and bustling Myeondong is only 20 minutes away from Korea University's campus! With people filling the streets, this ultra-popular Seoul district will offer anything from your favorite K-pop goods to high-end designer items. Don't forget about the yummy street food you can buy from the vendors lining the sidewalks and roads! This is one place you do not want to forget your wallet at!
3. Eat! Eat! Eat!
Take advantage of the local culture and live as the Romans do! Try eating Korean food with your friends and family. With foods like BBQ'd meats, kimchi, stew, tofu stew, soups, sides and more, there is no shortage of delicious things to eat! As a bonus, if you get want a snack, we recommend trying out a number of unique and chic cafes in Korea! Korea University ISC also offers a Korean cooking class as a cultural activity you're welcome to learn about and take part of!
4. Soak up the sun with Summer Festivals!
You study hard from Monday to Thursday at KU ISC, so you deserve to go out and have some fun on Friday! The summer months draw people outdoors, and with so many fun events to take part of, it's hard to pin down the right event for everyone. We recommend one of the most internationally popular events in Korea, the Boryeong Mud Festival, which includes mud baths, massages, wrestling, music, and more! Mud is not your thing? Get yourself over to the Busan Sea Festival where you can have fun splashing in the crystal clear water and enjoying music and performances with your friends!
5. Become best friends with KU students and International Students at KU ISC!
The best part of being abroad is that you can meet new friends and at KU ISC, you can meet people from all over the world with all types of backgrounds! You can't be happier anywhere else.
