The pictures are from last�year when he was in basic training. The actor enlisted on October 23,�2017, and learned military tactics at the Recruit Training Squadron in Gyeonggi Province. His post-training has led him to be in the first reconnaissance battalion.�

The pictures were released on the Forward Recruit Traning Squadron's website and were dispersed via social media. These pictures were captured during Kim Soo Hyun's time in the training program. He certainly doesn't seem glum in any of the pictures and the military uniform he's wearing adds to his inherent charm. �He received a well-earned vacation, which was most likely a result of ranking fourth during training.�

Kim Soo Hyun is slated to be discharged on July 22, 2019.�
