Jung Jun Ha has decided to cancel his suit against netizens leaving malicious comments.
He had been pursuing a suit against those leaving malicious comments because of his various actions on 'Infinity Challenge'. However, he revealed that he was going to cancel his suit and that he was going to reflect on himself first.
He wrote, "Hello, this is Jung Jun Ha. It's been over two weeks since I posted about my lawsuit against hate comments on the 12th. Because of my impulsive post and emotional response, I was criticized by many. I want to apologize to those who were disappointed or felt displeased by my lacking actions. In these two weeks, I canceled my suit and took time to look back on myself. I looked at the problematic broadcast screenshots calmly and regretted it and reflected on myself. I realized once again how lacking and immature I was. I think I took the love and interest from viewers for granted, and did not take the criticism on my wrong actions sincerely. I believed that the best course of action was not to file a suit against hate comments, and thought the first thing to do was to look back on my lacking self and show how I have changed on broadcast. I know you must be disappointed in me, but I hope you can forgive me once again and watch me again. I will do my best to give everyone laughter diligently. I want to apologize once again."
There seems to be so much negativity in the media regarding this single statement made by one person. It is important to take a step back and really think logically about this situation. When a celebrity makes a mistake in something they say they are often shamed and heavily criticized as a result. However, is it right to judge and spread so much hate rather than educating and forgiving?
