It all started with this photo of "Lai Kuan Lin" smoking a cigarette.

Recently, the controversial photo was spread across various Chinese online community boards, with Chinese netizens claiming the Wanna One member has been caught smoking underage. However, Korean netizens defended the idol and explained that the young man in the photo is not Lai Kuan Lin. 

One netizen claimed the man in the photo is a blogger who just happens to look like Lai Kuan Lin in the particular photo. 

The netizen provided further evidence by reaching out to the blogger. After obtaining his Kakao Talk ID that was shared on his blog, the netizen messaged him to ask if the man in the photo is indeed himself. The blogger answered, "Yes", and also explained he's a 20-year-old who meets the legal age to smoke. 

Currently, fans aren't happy with Chinese netizens who started the false rumors, and are demanding that Cube Entertainment take legal action for the young idol star.
