SS501's Park Jung Min has been officially relieved of his mandatory service duties this July 1 (KST)!
The singer had been assigned as a public service worker at a subway station in the Songpa district in Seoul. His label announced to media outlets, "Park Jung Min has been relieved of his mandatory service on July 1. After finishing up his service over the past 2 years diligently, he plans on returning as a singer soon."
It was also revealed that during his 2-year service, Park Jung Min was awarded for performing first aid and saving the life of a man at the subway station who'd collapsed due to dyspnea, or shortness of breath. Park Jung Min said about the act, "I'm embarrassed about receiving praise for something that was my duty. The past 2 years was a meaningful experience, and I learned a lot. Now, I would like to promise more promotions for fans who have been waiting for me."
He also shared an Instagram post of a bouquet of flowers he received after his farewell from service, writing, "#Everyone'sFeelings #Thankyou #I'llGainStrength #Iloveyou #FromtheHeart #SomethingForever...RatherThanFlowers #LeavingAfter2YearsofLove #WhenWillIReturn #5secondsBeforeBed #Last(heart) #EveryoneThankYouandIloveyou 20% celebrity comment, 80% honesty. #ForMyBrightFuture."
Park Jung Min's first schedule after returning from his mandatory service will be a Japanese fan meeting. Welcome back!
