In a statement to News 1, a rep from Mnet responded in strong denial and said, "The rumors stating that we're not letting trainees film ads or have interviews if they didn't make it in the top 20 are completely false. Those conditions were not listed in the contract and we have never recommended it. The only thing we've asked is for them to participate in the concert."
The rep continued, "There might be a guideline for the 11 debut members but we know it's not right to have regulations for the trainees who didn't debut. We have never set such rules."
Meanwhile, 'Produce 101' season 2 concert with Wanna One and other trainees in the top 35 will be taking place on July 1-2 at Olympic Hall of Olympic Park.
