On May 8, Mnet officially announced their final decision on�Kang Daniel.�They stated, "We consider fairness first and foremost. We have recently found out that the online votes by�nation's producers have been influenced by a trainee. As the penalty, the trainee will not be able to use the song that caused the issue."

This means that Kang Daniel will continue in the competition but will not be able to use�Deep House�song "Never" for the concept round.�

Meanwhile, the trainee apologized for his wrongdoings via Instagram, stating, "I will think�more on my actions from now on. I am sorry."�
