As promised, the boys of DAY6 are back with a new song from their 'Everyday6 Project' series. Each month of 2017, the group will be releasing one new song and holding two concerts! This time their song "How Can I Say" really moves you with its heavy J-rock influenced sounds and moody style.

"How Can I Say" is a brilliant track for many reasons. First of all, that classic rock band style is a complete breath of fresh air in this stale music atmosphere we are calling K-Pop lately.
Their sound has a lot of original qualities that isn't too abrasive so anyone who is new to this genre or needs something a little edgier than normal can easily enjoy it. There aren't many additional synthetic noises that are blaring or crowding the song which makes it more enjoyable to hear each member playing their instruments. Get lost in the killer track down below!
Lyric wise, the song is also well done. There is a great repetition throughout the song, the refrain and the words "I hate me now," that carries well alongside the edgy instrumentals. The story of falling out of love is different and interesting. Lines such as "I hate myself, but when I'm not with you I feel so comfortable" really makes the message clear. It's over, guuurl.
To my surprise, I actually enjoyed the rather simplistic approach of this MV. It isn't over-the-top or expensive looking, which really panders to that classic rock vibe. The guys can be seen spiraling throughout various backdrops and lighting effects as they play to the rhythm and really pour their emotions into the story-telling lyrics.
Overall, DAY6 are really delivering quality songs for their one year project. I have a feeling their next comeback will be just as delightful and we can expect a quality album by the end of the year! The band concept isn't dead yet and DAY6 are slowly but surely reviving a very unique genre in K-Pop. I think it is safe to say that DAY6 are the Paramore of K-Pop!
