According to Seoul's Judge Lee, "Kim Chang Ryul's food company known as Company A stated in the lawsuit that, 'It's difficult to say that Kim Chang Ryul's image had been defamed due to the way the food company marketed the product.'"
In 2009, Company A decided to market with Kim Chang Ryul and distributed products to convenience stores.
In January 2015, Kim Chang Ryul filed a complaint following numerous SNS posts and news reports regarding the company's false advertisement. There was actually very little content in the food packaging compared to the written price.
Hearing this, Company A stated that it was unfair to make such a comparison.
The judge ruled, "It is true that Company A's products contained less content compared to other food labels; however, it was not to an extensive degree."
Judge Lee also stated that "Kim's complaint is most likely an overstatement. He is also well known to be a trouble maker in the entertainment industry."
