On January 25, the Office of Education based in Kang Won Providence stated, "Punishment has been given to the elementary school teacher for practicing religious beliefs on school property that is not bound by religious preferences."
Furthermore, the first-grade teacher known as 'A' told the students, "If you don't believe in Jesus, a ghost will come and get you from the restroom." And commanded the students to make Jesus amulets by writing 'The Blood Of Christ' on the trinkets.
To the students who refused to make amulets for themselves, the teacher made them shout out 'The Blood Of Christ' when going to the restroom.
Teacher 'A' commented, "I saw a ghost when I was little. I resolved the problem by believing in Jesus and wanted to let others know."
Superintendent Min of the education ministry reported, "This is not an issue with religion but with the message he's trying to deliver to the kids."
On January 23, the disciplinary committee also made the decision to reprimand two other teachers similar to 'A', where they received the punishment of 1 month of deducted pay.
