At the press conference for 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo', Lee Sung Kyung talked about the competition, saying, "All the sunbaenims- Oh Ji Ho, Jun Ji Hyun, Lee Min Ho and everyone are very amazing, and I, too, am looking forward to it. Each drama is going in a different direction. [Our] drama is a lovely, youthful drama, and the competing drama has charms of its own."
Lee Sung Kyung continued, "Rather than worrying about the viewer ratings, I want to be able to introduce our drama without feeling any embarrassment, and that's what I'm going to be thinking about when acting. Not only with my good job in acting, but I want to make it beautiful together with the staff. I want to give it all with no regrets. I hope it does well, but it also has to fit in with the situations and I think it's just up to destiny. I will leave the viewer ratings up to destiny."
