AOA's Minaand Iranian actor and composer Hamed Tehranihave found themselves in the middle of an unlikely engagement!
On November 17, overseas media outlets reported Hamed Tehrani revealed he was getting married to the K-pop idol. He allegedly told media, "I'm dating Korean actress and singer AOA's Mina. Mina was going to come to Tehran last month, but she wasn't able to because she was so busy. I do not want the news of our dating to go public as I'm thinking of Mina's perspective. Mina will come to Tehran soon, and we're even thinking of marriage."
Following the news, AOA fans are said to have flooded Hamed Tehrani's social media accounts, demanding answers. He's previously made posts about his love of K-pop and Mina in particular.
In a phone call with Yonhap News, he stated, "I was very surprised by the headlines. The reports are false, and it's not true that I said those things. I apologize to AOA's Mina and K-pop fans in Iran who are angry." The actor also deleted a photo of an autograph he previously received from Mina. On the autograph, he simply stated, "I won't explain."
AOA's agency FNC Entertainment has come forward to state, "The news in question is completely false. We don't even know who the Iranian actor is."
