A story of a first-grade student getting sexually harassed by other students in the same class and the school's response is angering netizens in Korea.
According to a viral online community post, written by the victim's father, the harassment went on for about 7 months, from March until the end of September, in an elementary school in Masan, Korea.
The victim was forced to take off her clothes and urinate in front of 2 students, who are also in first grade and in the same class.
The father wrote, "The harassers continued to watch my daughter use the restroom. Right now, my child is suffering from anxiety and has difficulty going to the bathroom." The victim also developed symptoms of PTSD, such as biting her nails and crying in the bathroom. The bullies also forced the victim to eat lunch by herself, calling her smelly and other names.

After finally discovering the child had been sexually harassed and bullied, the father asked the teacher and department of education to take swift action, but the two students got to stay in the same class as the victim.
The father explained, "All that the school did was make my daughter sit a bit further away from them and asking the two students to use a separate restroom upstairs."
He also wrote that when he kept his daughter at home, fearing her safety because of the school's lack of action, he received a letter from the school -- a letter that said that his daughter was missing school days without an acceptable reason.
The Department of Education has responded to the concerns by simply stating, "The [Victim's father's] statement is inaccurate."
