Jang Woo Hyuk from legendary group H.O.T. attempted to make a comparison between the first generation girl groups and the girl groups of today while talking about JTBC's new variety show 'Girl Spirit.' 

Comparing the girl groups between the two generations turned out to be an impossible task, at least for Jang Woo Hyuk. The singer reasoned, "The first generation [girl group] idols are S.E.S and Fin.K.L, and because they're such legends, it's difficult to compare them with the girl groups of today."

Jang Woo Hyuk added, "Honestly, if [the groups] were comparable, then they wouldn't need to appear on this show. This is the place for girls with potential rather than for legends. What I did feel during the recording is that these guys really do have what it takes. I thought they could become legends."
