1.
Birth Marks
Watch out Marilyn Monroe, because you were bound to have an escapade of crazy love affairs! You read correctly - in Korea it is believed that a birthmark by your lips means you'll have a love affair! Can you think of any idols with one ? If you happen to get caught, you can just say your birthmark made you do it!
2.
Chicken Wings
Next time you guys stay home and order out, stay away from the chicken wings! Why? Because if you feed your lover chicken wings, s/he will fly away. Baby wants to go to Popeyes? I think not!
3.
Shoes
Don't give your significant other a pair of shoes unless you're searching for a smoother way of breaking up! Why are shoes such a bad thing, you ask? Because they are believed to make your significant other run away from you! Just don't leave your glass slipper behind on your way out!
4.
Deoksugong Path
Don't walk down Deoksugong Path with your significant other or it will mean the end of your beautiful relationship! This one is no joke as it has a historical background behind its legend. The Deoksugong Path is placed in a convenient location for wedded couples seeking their way out of marriage because you must walk down this path to the Seoul Family Court for a divorce.
5.
Wedding Bouquet
Heads up! In America women practically kill their fellow brides maids for a chance at catching the beautiful bouquet! However, you won't catch ladies breaking their heels over this because catching the bouquet can lead to bad luck! If you catch the bouquet and don't get married in the next 6 months, you will be alone for 3 years...or even the rest of your life! Are their any odd rules about the garter?
6.
Balsam Nails
Nail art is all the rage these days, but another superstition stems right from our very own finger tips! In Korea women will paint their nails with balsam, a balm substance from trees used in cosmetics and other products, during the summer, and the color must last until the first snow fall in winter or else your chances at love will break. Talk about crazy! Don't do any dishes for a while and maybe you'll meet a man who will do them for you!
7.
Namsan Couple Locks
OK, let's bring the fear factor down a notch and set the mood! Get ready to grab your chest and awe because the Namsan couple lock is one of the most charming things to do in Korea! When visiting Namsan tower, there is a gate where couples will sign locks and lock them against the gate chains, hence locking their love forever!
8.
Age Difference
According to Korean beliefs, 4 years is the perfect age difference! (HEY WOOYOUNG ;D) But remember, only 4 years, not more or less! So if you find a man/woman within that age bracket, keep him/her around because s/he is just right!
9.
OMG! Twinsies
Probably the oddest one yet, but it is said that the more a couple look alike, the more perfect they're for each other. In America usually it is said that couples begin looking more like each other as time goes on. Guess I'll be marrying my bathroom mirror, unless I grow out a beard like Siwon! #SenpaiNoticeMe
10.
Blood Types
Forget the newspaper's zodiac signs, because blood type B are the worst men to date. Well, at least according to Korean customs and beliefs. Guess I'll have to say goodbye to Wooyoung and start working on my beard. Beat that, Pia Wurtzbach!
