10 of K-Pop's most underrated girl groups

Dal Shabet, FIESTAR, Rainbow, RaNia, SPICA, BESTie, Sunny Days, MAMAMOO, Melody Day, Purfles
1. 10 of K-Pop's most underrated girl groups
We all have our favorite groups out there - some who are total nugu groups and others who have a fandom almost as big as your love for said group. They either aren't doing well themselves and have more to offer or fans seem to just push them away. Whatever the case, these groups have talent and are either being badly promoted/marketed by their companies or simply overlooked by fans (in both Korea and internationally)! Check out our list of idols who are more than diamonds in the rough.
2. BESTie
These 4 divas have a lot of sass, talent and vocal power to match! Yet, they still seem to be trying to claw their way to the top. They have proven more than once how catchy their songs can be and how each member carries their own with their charming voices, especially Uji! Their comeback schedules are a main reason why they can't find the limelight, because many veteran groups overshadow them.
3. Sunny Days
Sunny Days is a super talented group that has been active for years now, but they've barely dented the wall to success and recognition. They have powerful vocals, great songs, and impressive lives, so why aren't they doing any better?
4. Melody Day
The girls of Melody seemed to be constructed on pushing out ballads and OSTs left and right. However, when they added newest member Yoomin and started leaning more towards mainstream pop sounds, they started to get more attention. Their songs are enjoyable earworms and their vocals are strongly suited for the fun tracks they have been releasing! What is most likable are their uplifting instrumentals and steady voices in their songs that make it catchier, compared to repetitive whiney choruses.
5. RaNia
While being surrounded by much controversy in their early debut days, the girls seemed to have fade into evanescence. From all the member lineups, company jumping and the whole debacle with Teddy Riley, it seems RaNia constantly has to keep picking up the pieces and starting from scratch. This is a pity as the girls have awesome concepts, beyond creative choreo and pretty decent vocals! Hopefully their latest addition will be the game changer they need.
6. MAMAMOO
The ladies of MAMAMOO are finally seeing some well deserved recognition after all this time! "Mr. Ambiguous" had a lot of style, sass and snazzy elements to make it a total chart topper. Even their releases after their debut track offered a lot of refreshing sounds that K-Pop desperately needed, but it was not until "Um Ah Oh Yeh" was released that people started looking more their way. The girls are lively, full of energy and a fun group to watch perform as you can see they really enjoy the music they are singing!
7. Dal Shabet
The ladies debuted in 2011, a little bit after groups like SISTAR, Nine Muses and Girl's Day debuted. However, unlike their counterparts, these ladies are riding a merry go round and just seem to be going in circles. Their concepts haven't taken them very far and they seem to be going every which way to find their identity. Quick tip - stick to 80's synth and disco, it's more you!
8. Purfles
Purfles debuted with "1,2,3" a few years back and continued onward with more catchy songs. However, the group isn't meeting with fame just yet, despite having such unique voices. Although the possibility of them having the same luck as EXID is slim to none, the group needs something to help them spark the fire and light up the stage because these low budget MV releases are NOT doing it for me.
9. FIESTAR
What happened to these ladies? FIESTAR had a lot of pre-debut/debut hype and yet they didn't go any farther than I could throw a baseball (not far). The group's last song "Pitiful" really showcased something exhilarating in comparison to their previous work. The chair dance with backup dancers wasn't underwhelmingly cliche, their high notes were well done and the composition overall was beautifully made, yet the song saw no spotlight.
10. Rainbow
Rainbow was on a steady path to fame. Other than their "Gossip Girl" days (shiver), Rainbow dropped hits like "A," "Sunshine Boy" and "To Me" that were really winning and showing their many colors. Sadly, they feel flat, stay stagnant, and seem to bounce back and forth between releases and hiatuses. Their voices aren't forgotten but at this rate, they may be.
11. SPICA
Without a doubt, SPICA is getting no celebrity treatment...well not as much as they should be! With some members originally being vocal teachers for groups like INFINITE, SPICA brought together members that have more than exceptional vocals - they are outstanding! With badass, out of the world concepts, and even having a single being released overseas, SPICA just can't seem to fit in any where.
