Actress Han Groo has been swept up in a controversy regarding her family after her stepsister wrote online about her discontent towards Han Groo. The stepsister felt wronged that Han Groo mentioned the stepsister and her stepbrother as her siblings, though they share no biological relation.
Han Groo's agency Climax and Han Groo herself already directly spoke to media outlets explaining and apologizing about the matter. But as the controversy is still at its height, Han Groo's company Climax posted an official explanation and apology.
They said:
There is a lot of rebuke towards actress Han Groo which say that she used her step siblings for media play. Honestly, Han Groo dealt with a lot of media [attention] because of her siblings, and up till recently, it's true that a lot of news reports were about this.
However, this is all from when Han Groo thought of them as her family and mentioned them when she first debuted, which is now spreading and being reproduced. And it has spread even more because of her recent wedding announcement. Because of her step sister's request, we tried to make corrections. But in reality, it is impossible to revise the hundreds of mediums, blogs and SNS about this.
Last night, Han Groo sent her older sister a long message of apology and even said, 'I will do my best to do as much as I can to block this. If I have to reveal this in broadcast, I will'. We hope that all of you will consider her sincerity.
Because of this situation, Han Groo herself and her mother are emotionally going through a hard time. As her wedding is ahead of her, we ask for your support so that she can have a happy family life. Whatever the reason is, we sincerely apologize.
